OUR FACILITY
A thoughtful space for research, treatment, and comfort
Taylor Cancer Research Center was created to support a nationally acclaimed precision therapy program while offering patients and families an environment that feels welcoming, calm, and personal. Located within The Toledo Clinic Cancer Centers in Maumee, our facility brings together research, treatment, and supportive care in one thoughtfully designed setting.
Every part of the space reflects our commitment to patient-centered care. From comfortable treatment areas to inviting shared spaces and views of the natural surroundings, the facility was designed to support both innovation and peace of mind. The center’s broader purpose is to support the infrastructure and personnel needed for a robust precision therapy oncology clinical trial program in Northwest Ohio.
The environment was designed to support both innovation and peace of mind
From treatment rooms to gathering spaces, the facility was created to feel warm, open, and reassuring. The work taking place here is advanced and research-focused, but the patient experience is meant to feel calm, comfortable, and grounded in dignity.
TAKE A LOOK INSIDE
A welcoming environment for treatment and research
Our facility was designed to feel warm, open, and reassuring from the moment a patient arrives. While the work taking place here is advanced and research-focused, the experience of the space is intended to feel calm and comfortable.
The existing video works best as a featured introduction that helps visitors see the center before they arrive and understand how the physical environment supports care, research, and a more personal patient experience.
Designed for comfort during care
Cancer treatment and clinical trial participation can involve long visits, so comfort matters. Our treatment spaces were created to support patients during those hours with comfortable seating, open layouts, and an atmosphere that feels more personal than clinical.
Warm materials, quiet surroundings, and thoughtful details create an environment where patients can settle in, focus on treatment, and feel supported throughout their time at the center.
A calmer experience for patients and families
The library and gathering areas bring in natural light and provide a quieter setting for reflection and conversation. These spaces help create a more relaxed experience and make the center feel supportive in ways that extend beyond treatment alone.
That connection to the outdoors is an important part of the patient experience. For many patients and families, light, space, and a view beyond the treatment room help the environment feel more restorative and less overwhelming.
Designed to support patients, families, and hope
We believe the care environment matters. Taylor Cancer Research Center was designed not only to support advanced treatment and clinical research, but also to offer a setting that feels calm, respectful, and hopeful for every person who walks through our doors.
As TCRC continues to grow its precision therapy and clinical trial program in Northwest Ohio, this facility remains central to that mission: a place where innovation, compassion, and personalized cancer care come together.
