Taylor Automotive Donates $1M for Medical Program | Findlay Courier
“ TOLEDO — Toledo Clinic Cancer Centers and the Taylor Automotive family have announced the formation of the Taylor Cancer Research Center.
The not-for-profit clinical research program has been founded to benefit cancer patients in Northwest Ohio through the medical centers located at 1200 Medical Center Pkwy., Maumee, and at 4126 N. Holland-Sylvania Rd., Ste. 105, Toledo.
The Maumee center has been recently rebuilt and will serve at the primary research site, though research opportunities are meant for all cancer patients at all centers in the region. TCCC consists of 14 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers who are also accessible at satellite centers in Napoleon, Bowling Green, Wauseon, Bellevue, and Monroe, Michigan.
A donation of $1 million from the Taylor family will facilitate cancer treatments not currently available to cancer patients in the region, a release from Taylor states.
"The Taylor Automotive family has a deep legacy of philanthropy in Toledo. We have given to multiple charitable causes in Northwest Ohio. Julie and I always believed that we were greatly blessed, and we have always felt the need to share these blessings with our community," said Steve Taylor.
“Our mission is to expand our current clinical trial research program and to now provide more cutting edge treatment close to home so that Toledo region patients can receive nationally acclaimed therapy without having to leave the area," said Dr. Rex Mowat, managing partner at TCCC. ”
